This easy Ground Beef Tomato Noodle Soup is nourishing, savory, and slightly tangy from fresh tomatoes. A bowl of comfort that's packed with flavor and perfect for dinner.
Add ground beef to a pot over medium heat. Break up any clumps. Once the meat is cooked, add diced onions to the pot and let it cook in the rendered fat/grease. Season with a pinch of salt and ¼ tsp of Chinese five spice. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes then add garlic. Cook for another minute.
Add quartered tomatoes and season with a pinch of salt and ¼ tsp of Chinese five spice. Stir and cover with a lid. Turn the heat down to medium low and let it cook for 5-6 minutes or until tomatoes have softened. Remove the lid and gently crush the tomatoes with a spatula.
Add the rest of the Chinese five spice, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, vinegar and salt. Mix well then pour in the broth. Stir until well combined.
Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Adjust to taste then turn off heat.
In a separate pot, cook your choice of noodles and drain. Assemble with the broth and serve while hot. Enjoy!
