Easy 20-Minute Chicken Teriyaki (No Mirin or Sake)

How to make easy and delicious 20-Minute Chicken Teriyaki using only 4 ingredients for the sauce, without using any mirin or sake.
Mix the soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey and sugar in a bowl to make the teriyaki sauce. Set aside for later.
Season chicken thighs on both sides with salt and pepper.
In a medium sized frying pan, place chicken thighs skin side down and let it cook for 4 minutes on each side or until the chicken is browns.
Remove the chicken and turn the heat to low. Add the teriyaki sauce into the pan and stir. Bring to a simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Once it's simmering, add the chicken back to the pan and coat it with the sauce. Let it cook for a few more minutes on medium low or until the sauce thickens. Serve the chicken over/with rice and your choice of veggies.
Drizzle remaining sauce on top of the chicken and garnish with sesame seeds and green onion. Enjoy!
